The company is the largest subsidiary of the group. It was founded in 1939 and named after its founder, Ahmet Veli Menger. Ten years later in August 1949, it became exclusive general representative of Daimler-Benz AG, Germany in Turkey. In 1953, the company became a joint stock company with a capital of 2.000.000 TL under the title of Mengerler Ticaret A.Ş. Subsequently, the company capital was increased to 3 million TL in 1958, to 11 million TL in 1967, to 50 million TL in 1977, to 500 million TL in 1982, to 45 billion TL in 1990, to 638.5 billion TL in 1994, to 1.362 billion TL in 1996 and to its current level of 14.470 billion TL in 1999. The company has two branches located in Kocaeli and Trakya. |
| Foreseeing that import of assembled vehicles into Turkey would be restricted, Mengerler Ticaret Türk A.Ş. took steps to establish an assembly plant to manufacture buses and trucks in Turkey. In 1967, a new joint stock company named Otobüs ve Motorlu Araçlar Sanayi A.Ş. (OTOMARSAN) was founded under the partnership of Mengerler Ticaret Türk A.Ş., Daimler Benz AG and Has Otomotiv Ticaret ve Sanayi A.Ş. Currently, as a main dealer of Mercedes - Benz Türk A.Ş. the company is responsible for province of Istanbul, truly the commercial and industrial heart of Turkey and a metropolis of 12 million. |

The company's first service center is located at one of the biggest industrial centers of Istanbul, approximately 10 km away from Atatürk International Airport, on a 8.000 square meters site with a covered area of 4.500 square meters. The company has opened a second service center in 1995 at the Istanbul central intercity bus station, largest in the world with 2300 bus entries per day, which is the first and largest authorized workshop of its kind in the country. In 1998, the company has opened its commercial vehicles service center at Topkapı with 35 vehicle entries per day. The company also maintains a large showroom at Mecidiyeköy, main business district of Istanbul where customers are given the opportunity to choose among variety of models, colors and accessories offered to them by Mercedes Benz. The showroom personnel with 51 years of group's experience behind them present to customers expertise and consultancy along with different models of financing, including consumer credits, leasing and car exchange in order to find the car of their dreams. |
